Environment not suitable to open schools in Sept: Mass Education Secy

Janomot report: Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education Akram Al Hossain said that the environment has not created yet for the opening of primary schools in September.

He made the remarks in response to a question from reporters at the secretariat on Sunday.

Akram said that the Education Minister, however, said on Saturday that no environment has created yet for the opening of educational institutions. 

He said, "The students will go to schools along with parents or guardians. Why would we put them at risk? We have to think about that."

All educational institutions in the country have been kept closed since March 17 due to corona virus and the closures have been extended till August 31.
