Janomot report: If inclement weather and technical complications do not occur, the 36th span of Padma Bridge to installed on Thursday.
The span will be installed on pillars 2 and 3 at Mawa point. After installation of the span, 5,400 meters of the bridge will be visible.
In October, a total of four spans were installed. Four more spans are expected to be installed in the current month.
The 150 meters long span has to be brought from Mawa Construction Yard in Munshiganj by a floating crane and be installed on the pillars.
The 6.15km-long bridge will have a total of 41 spans.
The Padma Bridge will be a two-storeyed double-deck bridge in shape. It is being built with concrete and steel. The bridge is likely to be opened for traffic in 2021.
