Janomot report: The body of a young man named Ahmed Ali Shaon (22) was found in a local bill a day after he went missing in Ishaestaganj upazila.
Police recovered the body from a pond in Nagarsiputa on Monday (November 2) at noon near Marra Road in the upazila. The deceased was identified as Ahmad Ali, son of Abdul Awal of Kadamtali village under the upazila.
According to the family sources of the deceased, Ahmed Ali is an epileptic and mentally handicapped. He left home on Sunday morning and never returned. He could not be found even after searching relatives and all possible places. Later in the evening, Shakil, younger brother of the deceased, filed a general diary at Shayestaganj police station stating that his brother was missing.
Shayestaganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ajay Chandra Dev confirmed the matter and said, “I have learned from the family of the deceased that he had been suffering from epilepsy for a long time.” Maybe Bill fell into the pond and couldn’t get up.
