Sabrina Akter Shompa: The whole London embraces 2021 so homely even after being in Tier-4 and badly terrified by the quickly spreading new variant Coronavirus. After tolerating a whole pandemic year Londoners greets the New Year with a ray of hope.
London was declared as Tier-4 Zone in mid of December, 2020 and a lockdown declared at the same time due to tight level of safety demand by the government. No house mixing and parties from Christmas are still on because of the deadly spreading virus.
However, nothing could stop Londoners from welcoming the New Year eve so homely. The whole sky of London was full with the blast of colourful firecrackers. Though people are locked in houses but they celebrated this eve staying in house and cracking the firecrackers from 31st midnight (GMT time).
A whole 2020 year was with lots of stress, anxiety, depression and terrified of being infected by the coronavirus. Most of the year was spent in lockdown. A huge economical fall and people lost mental peace throughout the pandemic year.
Finally, people seemed breath peacefully with a good bye to the year 2020. People happily embraced the New Year 2021 with some good luck and a ray of hope to get rid of every negativity and a hope of ending the dreadful Coronavirus.
A new figure of 55,892 people tested positive with the end of the year 2020, and the approval of second vaccine Astra-Zeneca the whole Londoners are desiring for a new happy beginning and a year full of safety, well health and prosperity
