PM urges development partners to help implement Delta Plan

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has encouraged friendly countries and development partners to join hands in implementing the Delta Plan-2100, claiming that her government is putting the plan in place to ensure a better and enhanced life for future generations.
The prime minister made the remarks while speaking at a two-day event at a city hotel titled "Bangladesh Delta Plan-2100 International Conference: Issues and Challenges of Implementation," which she attended virtually from her official Ganabhaban house.
The event will be attended by policymakers, scholars, instructors, development activists, and development partners from both the United States and abroad.
The Delta Plan, which the prime minister described as a techno-economic master plan centered on information technology and knowledge, will require roughly 2.5 percent of GDP by 2025, according to the prime minister.
She stated that Bangladesh is a delta with 700 rivers and a large lowland area "We must construct it in such a way that future generations would be able to enjoy it. We are taking steps in this direction "..
Despite the fact that Bangladesh has made no contribution to climate change, she claims it is one of the most severely afflicted countries.
