Bangladesh strongly condemns burning of Quran in Sweden

Bangladesh has strongly condemned the burning of the Holy Quran in Stockholm, Sweden. The ministry of foreign affairs in Dhaka condemned this in a statement on Sunday.
“Bangladesh is deeply concerned about the insulting of sacred values of Muslims all over the world in the name of freedom of speech,” the statement said.
Right-wing extremists recently burned the Holy Quran in front of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Stockholm.
“Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance. Bangladesh believes that freedom of religion must be upheld and respected under all circumstances. In the interest of harmony and peaceful coexistence, Bangladesh has called upon all concerned to refrain from unreasonable incitement,” the ministry of foreign affairs stated.
