Lawyer stabbed to death in Moulvibazar district town
Sangram Datta : A lawyer was stabbed to death by some miscreants In front of a street food stall near Moulvibazar municipal office in the district headquarters around 11 PM on Sunday ( April-6).
The victim identified as Advocate Sujon Mia, a resident of Purbo Hilalpur area in Moulvibazar town and a member of the District Bar Association.
The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Moulvibazar Sadar Model Police Station, Md. Mahbubur Rahman, confirmed the incident.
According to police and local sources, Advocate Sujon Mia was standing in front of a fuchka stall at the municipal premises when some miscreants suddenly attacked him with a knife and fled away from the spot. 
The reason behind the murder is still unknown. Locals rushed him to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital, where the attending doctor declared him dead.
Police prepared an inquest report and sent the body to the morgue for autopsy.
Today (April -7), the Moulvibazar District Bar Association boycotted court proceedings, held a human chain in protest against the killing and demanded the immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of the culprits.
