2 drivers killed as truck, covered van collide in Sirajganj

JAnomot report: Two drivers have been killed and another injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a covered van in Sirajganj.

The incident took place in Khalkula Bazar area in Tarash Upazila on Monday morning.

The identities of the deceased and the injured could not be known yet.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Hatikumrul Highway Police Station, Nur Nabi said that the Dhaka-bound potato laden-truck from north Bengal collided with the covered van coming from the opposite direction on Hatikumrul-Banpara highway this morning, leaving one dead on the spot and two others injured.

The injured have been taken to a local hospital where another person succumbed to his injuries, he added.
