School Girl Abducted from Sreemangal

Sangram Datta: A  school girl was reportedly abducted from Sreemangal town in Moulvibazar district on September -30 sparking widespread discussion in the local community.

According to posts circulating on social media and information from local sources, on September 30, Rima Rani Sarker (11), a student of class five of Chandranath Government Primary School was abducted from the Catholic Mission Road area of Sreemangal town. Her father Motilal Biswas alleged that several unidentified individuals forcibly took his daughter away in a CNG-run autorickshaw.

Since the incident, the family has not received any information about Rima’s whereabouts. Her father has appealed for help on social media, seeking everyone’s cooperation in finding his daughter.

Meanwhile, after The Daily Jugantor’s Sreemangal correspondent Syed Abu Zafar Salauddin and local netizens posted about the incident, it quickly went viral on social media. Locals have demanded a proper investigation and the swift rescue of Rima.
