Media and photographers are invited to the official launch of a new grass cricket pitch at Victoria Park.
This marks a new chapter for cricket in Tower Hamlets, positioning Victoria Park as a model for open park safety, design, and accessibility.

The launch marks the completion of the new grass cricket pitch in Victoria Park.
The event will include a women’s game featuring England international cricketer and CKC Patron Maia Bouchier, and major announcements on the vision for the cricket square’s development to make it more welcoming for women, girls, and young players.

The project, aimed at creating a safe, inclusive, and community-friendly environment for cricket in Tower Hamlets, will benefit the borough’s young people and adults with a special focus on women and girls.
This development represents a new chapter for cricket in Tower Hamlets, positioning Victoria Park as a model for open park safety, design, and accessibility.

Interviews will be available with Lutfur Rahman, Executive Mayor of Tower Hamlets, Cllr Kamrul Hussain, Cabinet Member for Culture and Recreation, and Maia Bouchier.
